Power of Attorney
A power of attorney allows you to appoint and authorise another person to manage your property and financial affairs on your behalf. The two main types of power of attorney are:
A General Power of Attorney ends when you lose your mental capacity;
An Enduring Power of Attorney continues to operate after you lose your mental capacity.
A power of attorney does not include decisions regarding your health or lifestyle. An enduring guardianship should be appointed for these kinds of decisions.
